Red Helix, a market leader in UK cyber security, has announced a partnership with the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, KnowBe4. This comes as part of a drive to offer Red Helix’s clients greater access to security training, amidst a landscape of increased social engineering attacks, including access to the world’s largest library of security awareness training content.

The managed security training and testing service provided through the partnership will help organisations build a stronger human firewall to defend against the phishing and ransomware attacks that regularly target their businesses.

Social engineering attacks are not only growing in frequency, they are also becoming increasingly more sophisticated. According to the latest government Cybersecurity Breaches Survey 39% of UK businesses have identified a cyber security attack in the last 12 months, 83% of which was via a phishing attack. Alarmingly, around 1 in 5 (21%) of those that saw a cyberattack also identified a more sophisticated attack type such as denial of service, malware, or ransomware.

Red Helix’s partnership with KnowBe4 aims to reduce the number of attacks that succeed due to human error, by providing robust employee education alongside comprehensive technical offerings – all for less than the cost of a cup of coffee per person per month. The Managed Security Training and Testing service will test staff with simulated phishing attacks, identify areas that require attention, and then provide training to address areas of weakness.

Included in the service is baseline testing to assess the percentage of users prone to phishing, full access to the largest collection of security awareness training content in the world, and ongoing testing with simulated attacks through thousands of different templates. This is backed by clear reporting and graphs to aid with management and compliance requirements.

“Through our partnership with KnowBe4 we can add the value of its specialist expertise in security awareness training to our services, combining this with our own expertise to deliver a whole service, ensuring our clients and their end users are educated on how to protect themselves against a growing number of cyberattacks,” comments John Carson, CEO at Red Helix.

The new Managed Security Training and Testing service can be obtained through Red Helix directly. As well as providing training for existing staff, the service can also be used to train new starters – who are often key phishing targets – and ensure they join your team from a point of vigilance.
