The challenge
A manufacturing organisation wanted more proactive Managed Detection & Response, with clearer visibility across its hybrid environment.
Security information was fragmented across tools, making it difficult to build a connected view. Any change of provider also needed to work around production requirements: maintaining operations throughout the migration was essential.
The switch
Red Helix planned and delivered the transition from the existing managed security provider to CrowdStrike-based MDR operated by the Red Helix SOC.
The migration progressed through discovery and planning, deployment, integration and handover. Both services ran in parallel, with a controlled cutover after coverage and response responsibilities had been validated.
The transition was completed ahead of schedule, with no disruption to production.
The difference
The organisation gained greater security visibility and clearer executive reporting through the Red Helix Security Intelligence Platform.
Its team can prioritise issues and track its security posture over time, while dashboards help communicate cyber risk and financial exposure to the board. Additional CrowdStrike capabilities have since been introduced as requirements have evolved.
“Red Helix have proven themselves to be experts in leading security monitoring, triage and remediation doing everything we could ask for from a specialised SOC provider. The Security Intelligence portal has been the icing on the cake as it has brought the tooling to life and enabled us to quickly prioritise our time to address the key issues.”
