Hot/Cold Aisle Containment
Modular hot/cold aisle containment and enclosures
Save energy and quickly adapt to the changing needs of your data centre.
Data centres and colocation facilities must change as needs develop. Key to enabling flexibility is optimising the physical space and cooling infrastructure.
Our air-tight containment solutions separate cold air supply from the servers’ hot air. This provides the energy efficiency and modularity needed for building efficient and adaptive data centres and colocation facilities, and an easy drop-in solution for retro-fitting existing sites.
Key benefits include:
- Reducing your energy use and carbon emissions
- Making better use of the available space
- The potential to achieve your ESG targets ahead of schedule
Whether you’re building a new facility or want to upgrade an existing site, contact us today to help future-proof your data centre or colocation environment.
FAQs
The hot/cold aisle configuration system aligns server fronts (air intakes) toward a shared cold aisle, and backs (exhausts) toward a shared hot aisle.
Hot/cold aisle containment is a way to heat and cool data centres. It keeps hot air from server racks separate, placing alternate aisles to trap and release hot/cold air. This method makes cooling more efficient and cuts down on energy costs.
Containment solutions prevent different air temperatures mixing, which allows data centres to achieve over 95% airflow efficiency at normal operating pressures. This ensures that hot air returning to the cooling units is at the highest acceptable temperature, optimising data center cooling efficiency.
