Uncompressed, uncompromised: leading the way in SMPTE 2110 sustainability & security
The switch from SDI to IP provides the opportunity to be a game changer for scalability, cost reduction, and remote-based production.
And more recent technology advances make it possible to consolidate infrastructure, enhance workflows, and unlock further cost savings whilst improving security.
Join us with broadcast industry experts 23rd September at the Land Rover Experience Centre as we explore practical strategies for unlocking these new efficiencies and other areas of broadcast advancement, including:
- How to consolidate infrastructure & enable remote production in an ESG-conscious era
- Practical ways of building uncompressed media-ready IP infrastructure
- Achieving fully remote production without compromising security or performance
This is the perfect chance to understand the latest broadcast developments and to network with your industry peers.
Complimentary driving experiences
There is also the opportunity to join us for complementary offroad driving experiences in a Land Rover Defender when the event has finished. It’s all about the experience.
Event speakers
Simen K. Frostad, Chairman of Bridge Technologies
Simen co-founded Bridge Technologies in 2004 to develop solutions that simplify the transition to IP. Before that, he pioneered the first nonlinear sports editing facility for the 1994 Winter Olympics, built the first multi-camera hard disk recording system for episodic drama in 1998, and the world’s first IP contribution network for Scandinavian sports.
With over 35 years of experience and deep knowledge of the entire broadcast chain and its technologies, Simen has played a key role in shaping the industry’s future.
Gerard Phillips, Systems Engineer at Arista Networks
Gerard spent 22 years at the cutting edge of broadcast technology development with Snell and Wilcox, Snell and SAM. His experience ranges from designing composite decoders, de-interlacers, and motion compensated standards converters through to helping shape Arista’s IP strategy.
Gerard is a key contributor to the VSF’s TR-03, much of which eventually became ST2110. Gerard was an AMWA board member for SAM, and now fulfils that role for Arista Networks where he provides technical and architectural support to customers during the design, installation and running of complex IP infrastructure.
