The XSOS-576D Duplex Switch sets a new standard by replacing traditional manual Optical Distribution Frames (ODFs) and patch panels with an advanced, fully automated, and remotely managed system.
Remote fibre management
At the core of the XSOS-576D is our innovative, patent-pending 3D optical switching (3D-OS) topology, offering exceptional optical performance and comprehensive traffic protection. Once installed by splicing the system, all functions – such as reconfiguration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance – can be managed remotely. This capability significantly reduces the total cost of ownership and delivers a rapid return on investment.
The Optical Fibre Switch technology combines active switching with a passive latching mechanism, enabling seamless automated provisioning and configuration. The Main Control Unit manages all switching components, monitors the real-time status of cross-connections and network performance, and sends data and alerts to the central network management system.
It also supports SNMP/TL1 interfaces for integration with existing operational support systems (OSS).

Ensures consistent insertion loss of less than 0.5dB and return loss under 65 dB, optimising network power usage and supporting high-speed signals.
Power-independent traffic
The proprietary latching mechanism uses power only during switching, maintaining traffic flow during power outages and allowing for repairs without interrupting transmission.
High density
3D-OS technology delivers unmatched fibre density, supporting up to 3456 ports in a single 19” rack or 6912 ports using a dual-sided 19” rack (back-to-back).
Synchronised database and auto-discovery
Configuration changes are instantly reflected in management systems and automatically recovered in the event of a failure.
RFTS
The Integrated Remote Fibre Testing System (RFTS) allows live links to be tested for integrity remotely.
Carrier-class system
Designed to meet Telecordia and ITU standards, this system is reliable and field-proven.
Field scalability
